Clara's House, Inc in Peckville, PA is in need of a Director. Serving as the Director of Clara's House is a great ministry opportunity for someone who is looking to help girls/women in unplanned crisis pregnancies who are temporarily homeless. Clara's House is a shepherding home ministry that just does this. We provide a safe caring home for women to reside in who have been kicked out by their boyfriends, or even by their parents. Not only do we provide shelter, food, and clothing, but we provide the girls/women with so many other things as well. We address their emotional needs, spiritual needs, educational needs, and even their social needs. The pregnant girls/women live in a private family home, not in a large maternity group home, so one-on-one care is developed and nurtured. Independent skills are taught to the women and the women can stay up to 6 months after they give birth to their baby. Women are required to attend church as we are a Christian ministry and we believe that this is a vital part of their healing process. PROFESSOR OF PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING NEEDED: (03/22/09)
Bethel Seminary in St Paul, MN is in need of a Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling. Bethel Seminary is seeking a Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling responsible to teach eight courses per academic year (quarter system) in the Center for Spiritual and Personal Formation. Must have a solid grasp and experience of the discipline and practice of pastoral care and counseling (or pastoral psychology), as well as an orientation to the theory and practice of spiritual and personal formation. Must have a demonstrated ability to teach entry level and core Pastoral Care courses effectively at a graduate level, and have a terminal doctorate (Ph.D. or Th.D. Preferred). Candidate must be strongly devoted to the Lord, live a life of integrity, and have a deep commitment to Bethel's Evangelical/Baptist theological framework as outlined in the Affirmation of Faith along with a contagious passion to prepare women and men for ministry at a post-graduate level. We are accepting resumes for a part-time exciting and enthusiastic youth pastor with potential full time implications. Our small youth group is seeking direction and challenge for our vision for Christ and growth. This position would involve mainly Sundays and Wednesday with events on other days as his schedule would allow. It would average around 20 hours a week. A calling to youth ministry with a heart for kids and families with experience. Definite testimony of salvation and a call to serve the Lord. Compensation is $15,600.00.
